Slow Food Award for biodiversity

The Slow Food Award 2001 ceremony was held in Porto, in Portugal, this year's European culture capital, on Saturday October 13, at the city's Mosteiro de São Bento da Vitória.

560 jurors from 80 nationalities have voted to give a special jury prize to 5 of the 14 finalists already chosen. Of these awardees is the Argan's oil cooperative Amal of Morocco.
